Sadly, my computer crashed right after the big 4th of July Blowout, and I didn't get a chance to post these pics earlier! There's hope that she (my computer) will be repaired by the end of the month!
Jesh's bday was May 19th...and a dear friend's was around the same time. So to celebrate our friends came over an made a feast for 16 of us! 
I think every square inch of our home will filled with some sort of food or cooking ingredient or someone attempting to put together a dish. 
I think we finally curbed this phenomenon...but cats kept getting into our trash last month and nearly everytime we'd take a bag of trash out we'd come home to find our trash strown all over the place. We laughed when we came home to this site...the remains of Jesh's bday wrapping paper and cards!
Got to enjoy a precious sister's bridal shower in May! It was so good to fellowship with the ladies!
But I totally forgot the bridal shower "dress code" and wore shorts, bless!
Karaoke is one of the favorite leisure activities of students here. Karaoke houses are in abundance and inside them are small rooms you can rent by the hour for a really decent price. The room you rent is kinda set up like a living room, a big tv in the center with couches around it, but with a souped-up sound system and mics. One of the funniest parts about going to karaoke is that where ever you go, you can pretty much expect that the selection of English songs will be limited to a few that were hits in the 90s, and that the videos that go along with them are far from the original. The mold was finally broken a few weeks ago when we went to an Egyptian-themed karaoke house, and actually found a selection of English songs from this decade! And when I say Egyptian-themed I mean pyramids and mummies, hieroglyphics on the walls, and all the attendents dressed for the occasion.
Mosquitos have been out in full force! Jesh got a really cool mosquito net canopy for her bed, but before we even hung it she got to put it to use.
Got to make some new friends!
And got to meet some people with hilarious English names...can you guess what the guy's below was?

The houses right on the water are really beautiful! I feel like I go back decades, maybe even centuries, when I'm in some parts of the city...it's a really cool feeling!

Ross also got to experience what we'll call "loss of short-term recall of common English phrases"...it's something that happens after speaking in simplified English for long amounts of time or after speaking in EA for a while and then changing back to English. Symptoms include forgetting common nouns & verbs, or using the wrong noun/verb...like telling everyone you're ordering chicken on-a-stick, when you're actually talking about lamb. ;)
It was so great getting to hang out together, lots of good talks and tons of laughs!
